If you find yourself in Amsterdam or its surroundings between late March and mid-May, do yourself a favour and head to the Keukenhof Botanical Gardens, known as The Garden of Europe. This place is a riot of colour, with flowers blooming everywhere, offering a visual spectacle you won’t soon forget.
For over 75 years, Keukenhof Botanical Gardens has been wowing visitors with its stunning displays of flowers, trees, and shrubs. Open only for a brief period each year, this vibrant paradise draws thousands of visitors from all over the world, eager to take in the breathtaking beauty of spring. Whether you’re a nature lover or simply looking for a place to relax and enjoy some of the most beautiful flowers on Earth, Keukenhof Botanical Gardens is the spot.
The garden spans 79 acres and boasts more than 7 million flowers, including iconic Dutch tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, fritillaria, muscari, and many other gorgeous blooms. It’s the world’s largest and most colourful spring flower garden—so if your eyes are craving a dose of spring colour, this is where you’ll find it. Trust us, it’s a sight to behold.
Keukenhof Botanical Gardens is open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM. During our visit, we arrived mid-morning, and things were already buzzing with visitors arriving by bus and car. While it’s a bit more lively during peak hours, we recommend arriving early when the garden opens or later in the afternoon for a quieter, more serene experience. Either way, it’s a visual feast that’s absolutely worth the trip. As tickets are in high demand, we definitely recommend booking ahead – Click Here
